WHITE WATER KAYAKS
For whitewater kayaking, we recommend the family-friendly rapids route on Kitka River, from Käylä to Juuma. Alternatively, you can end your trip after Harjakoski, where we offer a pickup service to return you to your starting point.
The route begins with the easy Class I Käylänkoski rapids, followed by a long stretch of calm water leading to the Class I Vähän-Käylän koski and Vääräkoski rapids.
Before transitioning to Class II rapids, you can take a break at the Peurakoski lean-to. From there, the rapids increase in difficulty, with Class II Peurakoski, Saarikoski, and Harjakoski in succession. The final part of the route is a calm stretch leading to Juuma.
We also rent whitewater kayaks for other locations. Contact us for more information, and check out our whitewater kayak inventory through the link below.
