With white-water kayaks on the Kitkariver, we recommend you to take the family rafting route from Käylä to Juuma. Alternatively, the route can end after Harjakoski, where pickup back to the starting point is available.
We also rent our kayaks to other destinations!
The basic package price is €160 for two kayaks. Additional kayaks cost €50 each. A maximum of 6 white-water kayaks per group.
The price includes:
- Transport from the endpoint of the paddling trip back to the starting point in Käylä
- A guide present at the start to provide instructions
- White-water kayak, paddles, vests, helmet, map, and safety instructions
- Flexible schedule for departures and pickups
Description
Kitkariver - white-water kayaks
The Kitkariver is a diverse destination offering a variety of paddling experiences.
For white-water kayaking, we recommend the family rafting route from Käylä to Juuma. Alternatively, you can end the route after Harjakoski, where pickup back to the starting point is available.
The route begins with the easy Class I Käylänkoski rapids, followed by a longer calm stretch that leads to the Class I Vähän-Käylänkoski and Vääräkoski rapids.
Before moving on to the Class II rapids, there's an opportunity to take a break at the Peurakoski shelter. From there, the rapids continue as Class II, in order named Peurakoski, Saarikoski, and Harjakoski. The final stretch is a calm water section towards Juuma.
We also rent white-water kayaks for other destinations.
The package includes not only the kayaking equipment but also vests, paddles, helmets, dry bag, a route map, safety instructions, and guidance at the starting point. We always have a guide at the starting point, so you can start your adventure safely with tips for your trip. Transportation to the starting point can be arranged according to your preferences.

We rent kayaks for €50 / day, including a life vest, helmet, and paddle for rapids. If needed, you can rent multiple kayaks with a trailer. We will tailor a package according to your needs
