The requirement is a good hiking condition and experience, so that you can walk approx. 25-30 kilometers a day without possible problems with your legs.
To make the hike easier, we do this with light backpacks and spend the night in ready-made accommodation.
Do you dare to accept the challenge and go and experience the sights of Karhunkierros efficiently during three days.
You can only pay the reservation fee (150 €) when booking the hike. After confirming the reservation, you will receive an invoice by e-mail, which is due 30 days before the start of the hike.
Group size is 3 - 6 people. The hike will be organized if there will be minimum number of participants (3). In case that hike is cancelled, all payments will be refunded.
Description
The most popular hiking trail in Finland, the legendary Karhunkierros, takes you to the best places in Oulanka National Park. Karhunkierros offers hikers plenty of breathtaking views and sweaty kilometers - especially on this Entire route - Express hike. This route is a must to hike at least once in a lifetime!
Hike duration is 3 days (2 nights)

You should bring:
– Appropriate clothing
– Good and used hiking shoes

– Snacks for the additional energy
– Camera or phone to store the memories during the hike
Route description
On this hike, we will hike the entire route from Ristikallio starting point to Ruka.
The night before the hike, we gather and spend the evening together at the premises of Ruva Holiday (Sallantie 203, Kuusamo). You can leave your car at the accommodation while hiking. Transportation from Ruka to the accommodation after the hike is included in the price. You can also request other transportation options in Kuusamo and Ruka regions.
During the evening, we go through the gear, pack the backpacks and go through the hike in more detail, without forgetting important safety instructions. In the morning we enjoy a nutritious breakfast, fill our hot water bottles with coffee and prepare for the day.
After breakfast, we have transportation to the starting point of the hike, Ristikallio starting point, where we start our hike in Oulanka National Park.
Day 1
We will hake from Ristikallio to Oulanka Camping. The length of day hike is around 18 kilometers.
Day 2
We will hake from Oulanka Camping to Juuma for our next accommodation. This day is the longest - 31 kilometers.
Day 3
We will hake from Juuma to Ruka. The length of day hike is about 23 kilometers, but the route is demanding due to elevation on the route.
